Is it advisable to run opencore on mbp a1502 (Early 2015)?

Hi Fam,

Mac noob here and I was given a Macbook Pro A1502 (Early 2015). As I was learning the ropes in operating this macbook, I became aware that I needed a more recent MacOS version to be able to run xcode.

Now I'm curious if its worth it to run OpenCore here to do that even though this only has 8gb ram?

And what other benefits does OpenCore have if I do run it here?
