Can't get installer to boot - BIOS freezes after selecting my USB drive

I've followed the OpenCore guide for everything until this point, where you actually begin installation on the target machine. At first, I had CSM enabled in BIOS (all the guide said was "macOS optimized BIOS settings" which wasn't particularly helpful...), which returned "Reboot or Select Proper Boot Device". Decided to disable CSM to see if that would help, and I think it got me further but not meaningfully.

Basically, the screen flashes for a second and my mouse cursor stops working but my keyboard still works, so I can navigate in BIOS. The graphics are a little glitchy; the whole BIOS menu only takes up about 2/3 the screen and there's a bunch of glitching around the border. All options disappear from the boot menu when it's in this state and the only way to get it back to normal again is to shut it off and turn it back on again.

Here is what the path looks like on my USB drive.

I am attempting to install macOS Monterey. Some info about the system I am looking to install on:

CPU: Core i7-4790

RAM: 2x8GB DDR3-1600

GPU: Intel HD 4600

Storage: 256GB SATA SSD

Looking for a good laptop to hackintosh

I have owned a Macbook Air since early-mid 2018, and I am looking to upgrade. However, I am considering stepping away from Apple hardware, yet keep using their software because I own an iPhone too.

I am looking for a 2-in-1 convertible that has pen support (doesn't have to be in macOS too, but it would be nice). I don't have a need for anything beyond integrated graphics, but I do need atleast a Core i5 and 8 GB RAM. For storage, either 1 TB would be nice but 500 GB is fine too.

I am aware that being exact with the specs might not be possible, so I am willing to hear any options that don't completely fit into my requirements.

Thank you for your help!

Sincerely,
A rookie nerd

6950XT Compatibility

Hello All,

I inherited a new RX 6950XT and want to build a Hackintosh. From what I can tell from my initial googling macOS doesn't have official support for the 6950XT but it does support the 6900XT. Will macOS just treat the card as a 6900XT or am I out of luck?

Triple boot when the first two systems are already installed?

So my Latitude 7410 already has Windows and Linux installed. I have successfully prepared my USB with Monterey and it boots from it perfectly. How do I install it alongside Windows 10 and Debian? Will that cause any issues?

macOS installer immediately exits

So I've been trying to hackintosh this intel NUC. I've done it before on this PC with Ventura even. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. All of my bios settings are to Opencore spec. It just wont even load the bootloader. I've been stuck on this for a few days.

If anyone knows what this is that'd be awesome. Thanks

Mojave to Big Sur issues

Hello,

Had a coffee lake mojave build running great for the past few years.H370-HD3, i5-8400, Vega 56 GPU.

Trying to migrate it to Mac OS 11 and have hit a brick wall. End user tried updating from Mojave to Big Sur and has caused some issues.

Clover 5122 is bootlooping and will not boot to USB. I have done the installer, followed open core tutorial and I am stuck. USB installer will not appear in clover.

To remedy it, I have put another 1TB NVME ssd in the computer and I'm going to...

Having trouble getting to Monterey installer from OC USB boot

Having trouble getting to installer with OC. It validated with ocvalidate with no errors, but I can only get so far in the OC boot before it hangs. FYI - I don't need the USB port limit as my MB actually has 2 separate controllers with each controller under the 15 limit anyway.

My CPU is Ryzen 7 5700g, B550 Asrock MB, AMD 6600XT GPU

I've followed the Dortania guide meticulously (this is my 4th hackintosh with OC), but first time with an AMD CPU. Changed settings in my BIOS as per guide (enable 4G, disabled others etc). I'm thinking this is because WhateverGreen has picked up my iGPU? Has anyone else had success with 5000 series Ryzen with iGPU?

This is where the system freezes.(Sorry - Google did OCR on my screen shot and most of the '8's are actually zeros)
