Old thread was closed, but I wanted to update on this device. I am successfully running the latest Catalina beta 10 with full trackpad support, audio, video (intel 630), and bluetooth/wifi (with DW1560 swap). There is an issue at boot where you have to wait exactly 3 minutes before the backlight initializes, but it's a minor annoyance to say the least. EFI I'm using (https://gofile.io/?c=75O4F8)
Hello, I have tried to install macOS Mojave on my Levovo TS440. I used Clover Boot loader and everything went successful but it freezes on the apple logo. I dont know what is wrong but I do really need help. I am new to all of this and have been struggling for months now. I would like to know how to get past the apple logo and how to enable imessage and everything else. I plan on using this for my YouTube channel. Thank you so much in advance! :)
Hi all, Would love if someone can point me in the right direction on how to understand clover configurator and in case anyone own a healthy Asus prime deluxe hackintosh shares his/her efi folder.
im currently running Mac 10.14.6 but with some issues like sleep freeze and improper usb patch.
Hello everyone! I have a hackintosh that I use for programming/app development. With the release of xCode 11, One requires to have macOS Catalina or Mojave as minimum OS requirement. Right now, I am using High Sierra. I waited all this time for new nvidia drivers but there seems to be no update about it. So my question is if I upgrade to Catalina, Will the integrated Intel graphics be good enough for development? Thanks!
All of my work related apps got updates recently and they all ask me to update from 10.14.3 to 10.14.4, how do i go the safe route? i dont have any external disks to backup all my stuff to, im using Lenovo G510 laptop with dual booted Win10 and Mojave 10.14.3
I have read lots of articles and watched a bunch of videos, but I am unable to get an OpenCore USB to even boot my system.
I'm trying to understand the process from start to finish for any system. From identifying the hardware to creating the DSDT and editing the config.plist.
Most of the guides that I have seen don't give you enough information to do the whole process, they leave out 8-10 essential steps. Does anybody know of a detailed step by step guide that helps you get all of the information about what Kexts you need and the DSDT settings, etc that you need to get OpenCore working?
Apple's new 10.5-inch iPad Air is on sale for $52 off today, bringing the tablet down to its lowest price ever.
The iPad Air features a 10.5-inch Retina True Tone display, an A12 Bionic chip, Touch ID, an 8MP rear camera, a 7MP front camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Apple Pencil support, and more.
Apple is planning to release high-end iPad and MacBook devices that feature a Mini-LED display between late 2020 and mid 2021, reports TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The displays will use approximately 10,000 LEDs compared to 576 in Apple's upcoming Pro Display XDR. Each LED is less than 200 microns in size.
The iPad and MacBook models are expected to feature 10 to 12-inch and 15 to 17-inch display. Due to the cost of Mini-LED display components, they will likely be high-end devices such as the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro.
Since last night, my WiFi has been disconnecting and cannot connect at all if i connect a second display. Restart or shutdown completely then start doesn’t change anything. Unplugging the second display brings back WiFi.
My WiFi card is bcm94360cs2 which I believe is from an iMac.
So I have an m.2 WiFi/BT adapter arriving originally for my hackintosh laptop however I don’t need it for that anymore as my dad is now using that laptop with windows.
I am going to use it in my desktop but I’m having trouble finding an antenna with pcie bracket. I seem to only find antennas with the cables but no bracket for the case.
My PC has m.2 which is why. - live in the UK
Can anyone recommend an m.2 adapter or antenna with bracket etc
I've been using this hacky for almost two months now without any big issues.
My rig is 3570k/16GB/HD4000 and I consider going the Vanilla route but since there is such a specific walkthrough already and all of the kexts gathered in one place, will it be worth it? I've already bought some MAC-specific software and would like to continue onwards to Catalina if it's possible - meaning I'm probably in for the long run.
I'm new to the reddit hackintosh community so tell me if i got something wrong.
I tried editing my DSDT to support the battery level both manually and with a patch that matched with the configuration of my laptop. In both cases the ACPI screws up and stops reporting battery level (at 100 all the time) and estimated time on battery at firmware level( I mean it stops working even on Windows and Linux 100% not discharging at all on both, i need to force a shutdown by firing up the CPU and the two GPUs at maximum rate on battery, then the ACPI somehow restores itself and works on the other OSes). It happens every time I boot with these DSDT. I was using the patched DSDT in conjunction with the ACPI patch kext.
downloading this https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2010 basically how do i make it as an .app in applications folder? i tried dragging it, extracting but didn't work,
So I built a successful Hackintosh and everything is working fine, except now when I try to connect to my raven Mti2 (https://slatemt.com/raven-mti2/) with HDMI, it goes through the Apple logo on boot, then just cuts to a completely green screen? I am really stuck on this one because the machine works perfectly with any normal monitor, it just can't boot on this one. Does anyone have any ideas?
I followed the vanilla guide, but I kept getting this error until I removed the RAM stick from slot 0 in my motherboard (has two slots). Both sticks work in slot 1 (so it's not a problem with the physical ram stick), but it will not boot with both sticks in. I've tried using OsxAptioFix3Drv-64, instead of AptioMemoryFix, but the same error occurs. The system boots perfectly (WiFi, Handoff, unlock with Apple Watch) without the second stick of ram, but it just won't work with it. The RAM shows up properly within the BIOS with two sticks and no overclocking is enabled. Has anyone seen this before?
Now i’ve tried every post and guide and youtube video about how to fix iMessages and Facetime but none of them work. I’ve tried 3 different accounts but to no avail. I have a USB wifi dongle but i connect my laptop to the internet through Ethernet while setting up iMessage and still the same.
