Step 1: Identify the problem
The first step in fixing the missing MacBook Pro version in "About This Mac" is to identify the problem. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as a hardware issue, a software issue, or a configuration problem.
Step 2: Check the system logs
The system logs can provide valuable information about what is happening on your MacBook Pro. You can check the logs by opening the "Console" application and looking for any error messages related to the version information.
Step 3: Check the SMBIOS
The SMBIOS is a firmware chip that contains information about the hardware of your MacBook Pro. If the SMBIOS is not configured correctly, it can cause the version information to be missing in "About This Mac". You can check the SMBIOS by using the "SMBIOS" application.
Step 4: Check the boot flags
The boot flags are a set of options that are passed to the operating system when your MacBook Pro boots up. If the boot flags are not set correctly, it can cause the version information to be missing in "About This Mac". You can check the boot flags by opening the "Startup Security Utility" application.
Step 5: Reinstall the operating system
If the above steps do not fix the problem, you may need to reinstall the operating system. This will erase all data on your MacBook Pro, so it is important to back up your data before proceeding.
Step 6: Use a bootloader
Another option is to use a bootloader, such as Clover or Chimera, to boot your MacBook Pro. These bootloaders can provide additional options and features that can help fix the missing version information.
Step 7: Contact Apple Support
If none of the above steps fix the problem, you may need to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can help you diagnose the issue and provide a solution.

My MacBook Pro version doesn’t show in “about this Mac”
I recently replaced my ram on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro and some other internals and upgraded from Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina to Ventura and I happened to notice that my MacBook version doesn’t show in “about this Mac “dialogue box. Does anyone know why that is and how to fix it . I don’t even know if it was like that when I bought it though
