Mbp 13,3 no internet connection

Hi everybody

I am at a loss right now I have a MacBook Pro 13,3 (2016).

I have been using Ventura via oclp for awhile ~Aug last year. Things were good. I don’t remember in which version I was.

Last week, oclp prompted me with an update - likely 1.4.2. Without thinking too much (sorry) I just updated it out of habit. I went thru the update. Then the reboot. Back to logon page I keyed in my password and then the boot got stuck at a third of the progress bar. First distress.

I looked thru the internet and was able to get to the terminal and revert to last sealed snapshot. (Could not do the step of deleting the library/extensions though)

The boot went fine but then the display ((white taskbar, slow response) and the wifi (flagged as connected but no internet connection, no IP) were not functioning properly. I applied back the root patches. But then again at the reboot the macOS would not load. So I did the terminal thing again. I tried to put back an older version of oclp (thanks to wifey laptop to download the app) 1.3.x and even 0.6.x but no improvements. I also tried to reinstall Ventura but I could not but every time I was building the installer it was on 13.6.2 while my laptop was on 13.6.4. Then I decided to perhaps upgrade to sonoma and try. So I installed back oclp 1.4.2, created the bootaloader via oclp. Installation all went well. I applied the root patches. Display went back to normal but wifi was broken still. I checked : the wifi could connect but no internet connection. I deleted saved networks and reconnected same issue. I added dns server. Not working. I reset the nvram. Nothing changed. I used a usbc to lightning to connect my iPhone and I got internet via usb.

Separate issue - At some point it broke the wifi on my phone I suspect bc of iCloud but I was able to get it back on the iPhone randomly but forgetting the wifi network and then reputting it.

I continued using for awhile the usb connection to the laptop via iPhone to work. I tried an usb c dongle to ethernet it did not work. Same issue. It connects but no internet.

And after that it definitely broke the wifi on my iPad and my iPhone. I cannot get back the wifi on these 2 devices. no internet.

So I decided to drastically reinstall Monterey (last compatible OS for my laptop). I did A clean install. Then mounted the EFI and deleted the folders as indicated on the website. Reset nvram. But now I still have no internet connection on the mbp (which I did not connect to the internet yet via usb for example and hence is not logged in to iCloud).

The mbp reset did not help on the iPhone and iPad as well I still can’t connect to internet with the wifi network.

Note: my wife iPhone , my windows work laptop, and other devices are still connected to the wifi and the internet on the same network.

Really need some help here , I see 2 problems 1) no internet connection on the mbp since the oclp update and even after clean install of the macbook 2) perhaps a consequence, I can’t get back the iPhone and iPad to connect to the home network (iCloud keychain sync I ssue after I connected to the internet the mbp via usb?)

I posted this into the discord channel as well. Reposting here bc i received rather « not nice » replies that were not helpful and condescending (kept on saying it was an ISP issue without considering the other devices like my wife’s work fine)

Thanks
