Hi all, today I used oclp to upgrade my 2015 27in iMac 17.1 from Monterey to Sonoma. All went well however I am having a few “hang” moments. Things like typing fast in safari the text will freeze for a second and then keep typing, spinning beach ball for 5-15 or so seconds when closing some apps (worst one ironically is the OCLP program).
I just learnt after the fact that it is better to do a clean install when upgrading and wondered if this will fix my issues. I want to know how do I do this now I’ve already upgraded? Ie format and reinstall sonoma.
My thought is - boot to recovery mode - format the internal Fusion Drive - Boot to the usb drive created with oclp - install sonoma on the internal drive from usb - install oclp on the internal drive efi as per normal install process - restore backup from Time Machine drive.
Would love some guidance.
