Installing macOS Sonoma on Intel Core i3-10100F with NVIDIA GPU

macOS Sonoma Installation on Intel Core i3-10100F
For users with Intermediate to Expert skills

This guide aims to help you install macOS Sonoma on a system with an Intel® Core™ i3-10100F CPU. Please note that NVIDIA GPUs are not supported in macOS after Mojave; thus, an alternative compatible GPU or the system's integrated graphics (if available) will be required.

  1. Check CPU Compatibility: Ensure that macOS Sonoma supports the 10th generation Comet Lake architecture.
  2. GPU Compatibility: As macOS does not support NVIDIA drivers post-Mojave, consider using a supported AMD GPU or the integrated graphics from your CPU if available.
  3. Prepare Installation Media: Create a macOS Sonoma bootable USB drive from a real Mac or an existing Hackintosh.
  4. Configure Bootloader: Use OpenCore or a similar bootloader, configuring the config.plist for Comet Lake CPUs.
  5. Gather Necessary Kexts: You will need kexts for audio, Ethernet, and other peripherals. Ensure they are compatible with Sonoma.
  6. BIOS Settings: Adjust your BIOS settings for Hackintosh compatibility, including AHCI for SATA mode and disabling virtualization features.
  7. Install macOS Sonoma: Follow the standard installation process, booting from your USB drive.
  8. Post-Installation: Copy the EFI folder to your system's EFI partition and perform any additional required configurations.

Disclaimer: Hackintosh configurations can be complex and may not provide a stable system. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.
