Hey guys Hope u are all fine.
Well I gave 4 days and 8h per day working on how the Open-source (Vanilla) works. Watched a few Youtubers and mostly are confusing and only for desktop. OK fine with that but I need it for my 2 laptops.
It's a i5 5200U and 8GB and the other has a i7 3610MQ Main problem is the ACPI it's very very confusing also then the configurations.
I did manage to understand Kexts that's easy. As for creating the boot etc etc is pretty easy. But when it comes to config it it's hard. Some parts is easy and I did do the stuff
But when I boot I get always some random error. There are so many that I'm lost. Almost giving up wasting so many hours for nothing. I did learn some but damn it's hard. Also DSDT is that easy. But I did manage to understand the basic and ye it's pretty confusing creating the ACPI files to AML and later using the program to setting it up.
Are there any good videos of it for laptops? Like a real guide... Meehhh frustrating. 😤😥
