Recovery Mode not working

So I know this subreddit is for Mac OS on non Apple computers, but I’m running a newer version Mac OS on an unsupported Mac, and I was hoping someone here would be able to help. I am running Catalina on a Mid 2009 MacBook Pro 13 inch with the 2.26 GHz core 2 duo and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB with a 128 gb ssd. I accidentally created a container on my drive and it is taking up a significant portion of my disk, and I don’t know what to do with it or how to possible use it like my normal disk. I wanted to remove it but to do that I would need to boot into recovery mode and enter something into terminal. The thing is I can’t boot into recovery mode as every time I try it says “recovery image verification failed.” I was wondering if anyone knew how to solve this issue or how I could use that container on my disk as if it wasn’t there. (I’m running dosdude1’s Catalina patch for unsupported Macs.
