Preparing x230 install

Hi,

I am planning on installing mac os on my x230 thinkpad. I do have a few questions however:

1. Should I make a backup of w10 in case the install does not work?
2. I am dependent on wifi for internet access. I have read the integrated wifi of my x230 will not work - is there a way to change that? I have read of whitelisting... I don't use bluetooth. I am willing to swap out the wifi card for something like this: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07RY98BQV/?coliid=I7Z0F8JHZKSBJ&colid=14RS67MRFYDOA&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it would that work? I prefer an internal wifi-card over usb but I would use that if necessary. If possible I would like to avoid flashing the bios; is that possible?
3. I will connect my laptop to my tv so the dsub absolutely needs to work. Can you please confirm that?
4. My specs are I5-3320M and 4gb ram. Would you recommend I add another 4? I use the laptop mostly for browsing and watching netflix (1080p) and such.

Can you guys nudge me in the right direction kindly? Any help and advice are appreciated.
