Need help solving the dreaded prohibitory sign.

When I go to boot my installer, I always get stuck on

'Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>'

Then it goes to 'Waiting for root device' and the prohibitory sign with now garbled text.

My specs are as following:

Motherboard: Asus ROG G20AJ (Prebuilt)

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790

GPU: Intel HD 4600

I hope someone can help me with this, I've tried to install macOS multiple times but always get stuck on this issue.
