New to Hackintosh. #CPU

Hi guys, I am new to this hackintosh world, and probably was looking for help on the wrong places, hope I find some here. I knew about it when googling in order to upgrade a processor for an HP pavilion bought after couldn't afford a newer iMac. I found some forums very helpful but they are more oriented to build your machine from scratch, something I know nothing about and while interesting doesn't really justify my motivation to achieve it, at least not at this point.

Besides that, I already had bought a machine, so can't returning it just to build a new one at the expense of risk due to my lack of knowledge. So before giving up I found this website.

I have an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHZ (mid 2007) with Snow Leopard installed on it, I love it but I understand it is old and now kinda slow for audio applications (Logic/ProTools). I had running both on it, but they require more resources the iMac just can't supply. That's why I have ProTools on this new HP, but not Logic.

I have an external GLYPH 250GB HDD, ready to use, that I can connect to SATA0 in the HP. Or 8GB USB memory, or DVD drive. And Snow Leopard Install DVD.

HP machine isn't ready for OSX as I need to upgrade the processor (I have to do it anyways, ProTools needs it).

Here are the components on it:

The processor I am planning to upgrade are either:

Intel® Core™ i3-3225 Processor (3M Cache, 3.30 GHz)

Ivy Bridge (2 Cores, 4 Threads)

Intel® HD Graphics 4000 -Integrated

Intel® Core™ i3-3245 Processor (3M Cache, 3.40 GHz)

Ivy Bridge (2 Cores, 4 Threads)

Intel® HD Graphics 4000 -Integrated

There are some other choices but I pick those as I have read HD4000 is easier when installing OSX's. I took a look at your database and find out two HP on list, none of them my setup (HP pavilion slimline s5 1540). As far as I read on iMick and Conti's guide it is still possible to install it even if my model isn't listed on your database. Also read there are some caveats regarding LGA1155 socket, Ivy Bridge processors and OSX version that aren't clear to me. Given my info I really appreciate any comment or advice (yes, it's ok to encourage me to better give up), idealistically I'd have an HDD running windows 8 and another one running OS X (SL, L, ML...), OSX on SATA 0 of course.

If you need more info related to my setup (win8/OS X) let me know how you need it and I will post it/send it. Thanks for reading.

p.s. Even the processor are on the possible upgrades at HP website, I just make a request to tech support to confirm it.
