Install problem: app not being written to Dortania/

iMac 4.2 (late 2013) on 15.0.1

Trying to update OpenCore and it was not installing. Removed the old version (1.5.something) using the uninstaller, then did a fresh install of the latest. After opening it crashes immediately. It does not look like the main app is getting installed in the Dortania directory as expected:

Any ideas what is going on here?
