Yesterday, I updated to the latest version of OCLP from 2.3.2 to 2.4.0 and after it told me to reboot, it gave me the 🚫. Thankfully I have a Mac Pro; meaning I was able to boot into macOS High Sierra and install OCLP 2.3.2 and recreate the EFI folder of my primary SSD.
FIX:
If you are experiencing this error, get a second mac that is running High Sierra or later, get OCLP 2.3.2 and create a USB drive (make sure your model of Mac is selected) and select "Build and install OpenCore". Make sure the target is the USB drive and once done, plug it into your Mac, and select EFI BOOT with the orange drive symbol. Once booted, mount the EFI from both your internal drive and your USB (Using Clover Configuratior or MountEFI) and delete the EFI folder from the internal drive's EFI partition and drag and drop the USB's EFI folder into the the internal drive's EFI partiton. Reboot without the USB and if it all goes well, everything should be back to normal (You may need to reapply root patches). OpenCore will bug you about using a outdated bootloader. Click cancel and ignore it. All we have to do is to wait for OCLP 2.4.1 releases and see if it fixes it.
