Until now my Macbook Pro 15" mid 2015 was my production machine (2.8 GHz i7 (Dual Graphics) 16GB / 1TB). Monterey was the last possible OS without patch.
I will get a new Mac Mini today and want to upgrade my old MBP a step beyond Monterey so that I can use the same apps as on Sequoia on my Mac Mini. Would Ventura be enough? Or should I go with Sonoma? Or even Sequoia?
I read contradictory things here:
- Whether or not the Dual Graphics of my machine may be a possible problem.
- About fans blazing all the time while other don't have this.
- About Sequoia being both faster/slower than Sonoma. And Sonoma being both faster/slower than Ventura. And Ventura being (not) the best OS for my machine.
Basically I have just a few concerns:
- I don't care for extra features. I just want to use the same apps that are on my new Mac as much as possible.
- I want to have as little as speed loss as possible.
- I want to avoid a broken system by installing updates. How to do that?
What would be your advise? Tips?
Thanks in advance for your time!
