2008 MacBook Boot Stuck on Apple Logo with progress bar half filled after installation.

Hello,

I have a 2008 MacBook that I have installed OCLP on. I created a bootable USB drive and went through the installer for Big Sur. When MacBook rebooted I selected the OCLP EFI and then selected the Big Sur HDD installation. I followed the directions on this page: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/BOOT.html

After that, I am stuck at an Apple logo with a half filled progress bar. I tried clearing the NVRAM/PRAM by following the instructions at this page, but it didn't help: https://support.apple.com/en-mide/102603

Any advice on how to get Big Sur to boot?
