Will "contact key verification" work with Messages/iMessage between phone and macbook using the patcher?

my iPhone couldn't enable "contact key verification" because my intel mbp doesn't support the latest MacOS, if I use opencorelegacypatcher to upgrade, will that count as latest MacOS?

or is there a way to spoof it for contact key verification without upgrading?
