I ran through the steps to install OCLP and Sonoma found here (https://youtu.be/in5-3EjKFqA) and everything appears normal. I get to the Sonoma installer as directed and it runs fine but when it reboots it puts me back at the boot menu as if nothing had happened. I still have only Monterey installed but I needed to install OCLP to my hard drive so I could boot through the EFIBoot menu to start Monterey as otherwise I get the circle with a line through it and a "support.apple.com/mac/startup" message. I think when I did the original install I restarted when it had been stuck on the boot menu for 20 minutes or so, maybe I should have waited a few hours instead?
Late 2015 iMac 5K 27" with MACOS Monterey is what I have.
