I have a macpro5,1 with legacy wifi/bt, a GTX 680 metal-compatible card, currently running 12.7.3 and OCLP 1.3.0 flawlessly.
I tried to update to 12.7.4 and OCLP 1.4.0 a few weeks ago (the day 12.7.4 came out). This resulted in a host of problems: no ethernet, no wifi, the security panel would crash. Effectively bricked. I reinstalled 12.7.3+1.3.0 from scratch and updated to the then-current 1.4.2 - the machine would stall at boot. So I reinstalled from scratch 12.7.3+1.3.0 and that works like a charm.
Questions:
1- Can I safely install 12.7.4?
2- Will 1.4.3 resolve the issues I had? (I have the original wifi and bt cards)
I don’t mind staying on 1.3.0 if I can update to 12.7.4. I realized that a bunch of connectivity features were added in 12.7.4 so given that I am on legacy wifi/bt maybe this is an issue.
Thx!
