Best version of macOS to run on a ThinkPad X280? i7-8650u / intel uhd 620 / 16gb ram

i already wrote the entirety of this post and then my phone died. Sigh

I’m planning on using OpenCore to install macOS but I’m not sure if I should run Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, or Sonoma.

I’ve got a lot of stuff going on in my life so my goal is to not have to worry about it after I’ve installed it and got it all setup.

I need the most reliable, stable, and fully functional version but I can’t really tell what that would be. Best performing would be good too but not that important tbh.
I want the most functionality (bluetooth, airdrop, iMessage, iCloud & other Apple services, keyboard backlight, webcam, sleep, etc.) and reliability because I’m storing files that I don’t want to disappear and also because of course I want it to be reliable.

I’m also gonna be dual booting with windows 10.

How does the update system work? Can I easily upgrade from Monterey to Ventura for example in the future if Monterey becomes to old? (monterey isn’t my choice yet js an ex.)

What about incremental updates? (Sonoma 14.3, 14.3.1, etc. and more significant but still same version updates). Are those similar to a Mac updating? I don’t want to have to worry about incremental updates breaking my computer or anything. That’s what I thought could be the benefit of older OSes that don’t have weekly updates like Monterey.

Also worth noting I’m using an Intel WiFi card that I’ll patch.

I’m new to hackintoshing, haha. closest I’ve done OCLP on a unibody MacBook.

Does anybody have any experiences using similar laptops or the same laptop as my ThinkPad x280?

Is there anything this post is missing or I should consider?

Thanks in advance for the help y’all, I appreciate it.
