Upgrading the Hard Drive with OCLP while retaining data.

I want to swap in an SSD in place of the main HDD in my 2012 MacMini running OCLP. The mac mini serves as my plex media server. It has two platter HDDs in at the moment one operating as a time machine drive. I really don't want to have to go back to scratch and set all my stuff again.

What are my options here? Could I get away with swapping out the current main HDD and replacing it with the SSD then restore using time machine from revovery mode? Will that function considering the use of OCLP? What about running a disk clone with the native disk utility in recovery mode? Lastly doing a fresh install with OCLP then recovering from time machine after everything has booted up normally?

Any insight appreciated, thanks.
