Hey fellow Hackintosh enthusiasts,
I wanted to share my recent Success in building a Hackintosh with some not so recently supported hardware. Thanks to the team behind NootRX, I was able to finally get my GPU running in Sonoma.
Can someone help me out with tuning my CPU a bit?
Hardware Specifications:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K
- GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT Mech 2x 12GB
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime B660 Plus D4
- Storage: Samsung SSD 980
Kexts Used:
- AppleALC
- CPUFriend
- CPUFriendDataProvider
- Lilu
- LucyRTL8125Ethernet
- NooTRX
- NVMeFix
- RestrictEvents
- SMCProcessor
- SMCSuperIO

- SSDT-RHUB
SMBIOS- MacPro7,1
Bootloader: OpenCore 0.9.5
Performance and Stability:
My Hackintosh setup has been running surprisingly well. However, I did encounter a performance disparity between Windows and Sonoma initially. In Windows, I was getting an impressive 17,000 multicore score, but in Sonoma, I was only achieving around 8,500.
To address this performance gap, I decided to implement CPUFriend and data modifications. With CPUFriend, I was able to optimize the CPU power management and boost the Sonoma multicore score to a much more respectable 13,500. This improvement demonstrates that there is still room for optimization and fine-tuning to get the most out of your Hackintosh setup.
While I'm content with my current performance, I'm open to any suggestions or insights from the community on further improving the score and overall system stability.
Whats's not working:
- Wifi & Bluetooth- I don't have hardware for it
- Apple related DRM (AppleTV & Apple Music HiRes Lossless) - Hope the NootRx Team finds a way to solve that as well
- SATA HardDrive "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" on every boot- Disabled that hard drive in Mac using diskejectd
