From Clover to Opencore, do I have to reset/delete NVRAM and is it safe to do?

Right now I am sitting on "MacOS Big Sur" Clover

Everything works fine, system is usable. But I saw that OpenCore is better than Clover. So I decided to move to OpenCore and update to "macOS Monterey". After a reading a guide I saw that OpenCore requires to resetting NVRAM after using Clover. I found that for someone OpenCore after Clover works fine without resetting NVRAM. I am afraid of resetting VRAM, because I read that for some people BIOS stop seeing UEFI Boot drives. Maybe one of you who using NUC or have experience with that, or can give some recommendations. I will be very thankful to see answers!
