I used OpenCore installation guide for the USB installer and continued to follow the post installation guide for patching with opencore legacy patcher (0.4.10). I'll link this redditors guide as well as I used the EFI they had, but I had to modify it in 4 or 5 different ways before it finally worked for me: Monterey 12.2.1 | i7-11700K

Some things to note:

  • Disabled secure boot in OCA tools misc > security and disabled apple security policy in UEFI > quirks, ENABLED CSM in bios (the gtx 760 needs this to work), set secure boot to CUSTOM, PRIOR to installing.
  • I had issues with the first installation with OC legacy patcher EFI patching over to my macos installation. All I did was mount the EFI myself and copied the EFI structured folder from my bootable USB and it worked.
  • I think that it. If I remember anything else I will edit this post.

The only thing that does not work are 3 of my front USB ports, only because I have not mapped them yet. It seems like everything is working and I can use OpenCore to dual boot into Windows or MacOS as intended.
