Hi everyone!
Im really happy and wanted to share this with you; its my first Success ful Hackintosh (previously tried with an HP 240 G7 and with a desktop).
Everything is working, except for:
- Brightness keys.
- SD Reader.
My system specs:
- Laptop model: HP Probook 440 G6
- CPU: i5 8265u
- RAM: 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz
- SSD: Toshiba M.2 512GB
- Audio codec: Realtek ALC236
- Wifi/BT Card: Intel 9560NGW
- Guide followed: https://www.Tonymacx86/threads/guide-hp-probook-440-g6-i5-8265u-big-sur-11-0-1-OpenCore.307157/, OpenCore Vanilla Guide and https://github.com/KirillSerogodsky/HP-ProBook-430-440-450-G6-Hackintosh
- Parts where I got an issue: Since the latest OpenCore version is 0.7.3 and all the guides used were tested on 0.6.3 (I think), I had to use that same version of OpenCore. Tried to update everything according to the Dortania's guide, but couldn't make it work, so instead of that, I've just downloaded an older version of OpenCore and it worked! Also, using OpenCore 0.7.3 the system boot was reaaaaaaally slow (literally, 5 - 10 minutes each time).
Im planning to buy a MacBook wifi/bt card for the best performance, because the wifi tends to get really slow sometimes (despite the BT is working excellent) and id like to make my brightness key functional, but right now, im really happy with the result.
