I have spent hours trying to get iMessage to work.
I used space invaders one's video and macinabox docker image to install Big Sur without an issue.
The VM works great. Not fast cause I don't have a big cpu or lots of RAM, but:
- i can browse the web inside the VM
- i can log in to the App Store on the VM and install apps.
When I try to sign in to iMessages I get:
"an unkown error has occurred."
I have tried to generate serial and uuid and all that.
Using OpenCore configurator I am confused with the tabs at the top (Datahub generic and SMBIOS). Is what's on the SMBIOS tab what matters?
Ethernet shows as "en0," but not "builtin." I don't understand Dortania's instructions as to how exactly to apply nullethernet. I HAVE tried.
Mac address. I read different opinions. Do I need to make up a mac address or use the one that shows up in the vm under system preferences>network>advanced>hardware.
And do I apply that mac address in config.plist open in propertree?
My unraid box is a modest Dell 3847 with 16GB of ram and a Intel Core i5 (4th Gen) 4440 / 3.1 GHz CPU.
I'm willing to pay an expert to remote into my VM and help me with this.
