How to debug "Patching Bus IDs" for iGPU display ports?

I am following the guide https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/gpu-patching/intel-patching/busid.html

(1) Should I rebuild kext cache after modifying the config.plist file?

If I do, is that just running this command sudo kextcache -i /?

(2) I am running a NUC alike device. It has two ports, HDMI and DP ports. The HDMI port is working fine. The DP port is not working fine. To fix the DP port issue, I have followed the article and tried all different values. But nothing really changes. The weird thing is even if after I provide wrong values to all con0, con1, con2, HDMI still works. I just don't really get it. How to debug this?
