I can't get more than 120Hz on a 144Hz screen when connected via HDMI 2.0 cable. I need help

Is somebody have any idea why my HDMI 2.0 cable connected to 144Hz monitor doesn't support 144Hz on macOS (latest Big Sur)? Using HDMI 120Hz is maximum. When I'm connect via DP 144Hz works fine on macOS. I would like to use HDMI instead of DisplayPort.

I use the latest OpenCore (0.6.3) and kexts including WEG. No matter if the WEG is loaded or not, it does not change the situation related to the maximum refresh rate, which is always the same 120Hz.

Could it be an OpenCore or any kext bug, or maybe macOS itself or something else? I have seen similar queries on the web, but they are not very up-to-date.
