How do I install a kext (which supports real macs) on a real mac?

I know using 90% of Hackintosh-oriented kexts like FakeSMC and such on a real mac is an incredibly stupid idea, but I have a 2014 A1502 MBP running off of an NVMe drive instead of the stock SSD, and I would like to use NVMEfix from here https://github.com/acidanthera/NVMeFix to improve system stability and the creator claims it should work fine on a real mac. How would I do this? I'm running Catalina and I have SIP and library validation disabled. I know this isn't explicitly a hackintosh related question, but I figured this sub would be better equipped than most other Mac related forums to answer questions about this type of stuff.
