hey! before reading this, you must know that i am a first timer. any and all advice is helpful!
so, since i’m stuck at home (along with almost the entire world) i decided to reduce some e-waste and re-purpose my brother’s old HP pavilion 15 as a hackintosh instead of dropping roughly $1700 for an 8th gen i5 MBP 13 (2020) where i live. will be using things like GarageBand, iMovie and it’s going to be an everyday- use system.
one of my friends has a macbook air, and since i can’t go over and create a boot drive, is it a good idea to just install Niresh Catalina for now and change to vanilla in a few months or so? i don’t have a problem transferring/losing the data.
and, if it’s better and suggested to use vanilla, how difficult is the process?
