SSDT-XHC necessity?

I'm working on XPS 15 9570 SSDTs, but it seems that many EFIs have unnecessary ones and I'm trying to check the purpose of each. LuletterSoul's contains this patch: https://github.com/LuletterSoul/Dell-XPS-15-9570-macOS-Mojave/blob/master/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/SSDT-XHC.dsl for XHC, but my USB is operating correctly at USB3 speeds without it. Is it needed? What does it solve? It appears my DSDT already has an XHC device.
