Hi everyone,
If you don't know, Intel is announcing their "new" CPUs at the end of this month. The architecture is the same. However, they will have two more cores for each model and slightly better clocks.
Considering it will be soon, is it worth making Hackintosh right now? I am planning to buy top tier CPU and motherboard, but the new CPU's coming later this year won't be compatible with z390 motherboards. So I can't upgrade if I want at a later stage.
Usually, how much time it takes for the new hardware to reach the general consumer? I assume a few months. Also, how much time it usually takes until it gets Hackintoshed, and being stable?
I need a 4k editing machine, and I9 900k would be sufficient enough, so I am not sure if it will be even necessary to upgrade in the next 3-4 years.
What are your thoughts on this, should I wait?
P.S. Also new iMacs are expected for this year, which is also under consideration. The price is a bit steep for me tho. However, When I count the price for all parts it is kinda similar.
