Hello all,
I have been using my Hackintosh (vanilla install) for over a year now very happily, thanks to a lot of help that I received from this sub when first starting. However, there have been a few bugs in my system that have aggravated me from the start that I am just now getting around to fixing. I do have a decent understanding of what is going on now after originally trying a multibeast install and being brought to the light side.
Sorry for the long intro, here's what's been plaguing me since the beginning (I will have relevant info for my build below):
My first problem is that my Hackintosh does not recognize USB 3. It recognizes USB 2 drives in USB 3, and USB 3 drives in USB 2 ports, but never USB 3 in a USB 3 port.
In addition, I feel there might be an NVRAM issue as many restarts or shutdowns find my Mac booting up with none of the tabs that I had left up on it previously.
On top of this, my Magic Mouse lags quite frequently. This is odd because my apple keyboard experiences no lags whatsoever. And before you ask, yes I did check the mouse on another Mac to ensure it wasn't the mouse.
Lastly, I know this is quite vague, but I have experienced several random crashes, that are of annoyance especially since they seem to come at times when I am attempting to write essays.
Here is a screenshot of my kext folder:
Other relevant information:
I have a gigabyte 300 series motherboard
AMD Vega 64 GPU
And an intel i7-8700 CPU
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have done some preliminary research and was able to fix several other bugs that were far more annoying. It is only because my build works so well despite these minor annoyances that I am just now getting to fixing these.
Thank you!
