Carelessly ran Bootcamp Assistant on High Sierra after years of operation.. now lost my bootloader but hopefully not my files. What are my options?

Hey everybody,

I've been out of the scene for a long time because once I got my Hackintosh running and all features working it's been smooth sailing. Perhaps I got a bit too comfortable and forgot the precarity of my situation. I ran the bootcamp assistant for a Windows 8.1 installer, and upon reboot I've lost my bootloader (and possibly my install?).

Is there an easy fix for this or am I doomed to reinstall? If the latter, is there a way to retrieve my files?
