Want to make a hackintosh, but only have a 2010 MBP on hand?

Hello, I want to make my desktop a hackintosh (I've done hackintosh before but not for a few years) but the only Mac I have now is the 2010 Macbook Pro, we previously had an iMac but my brother sold it.

The 2010 MBP can't get like any of the latest updates, so basically what I'm asking is how can I go about this? Do I install a hackintosh of an old OSX and then update it, can I do that?
