Recently I upgraded my CPU and redid my Hackintosh config. Everything works, except a few of the animations are stuttering/laggy - specifically the fan animation when opening a folder from the dock and the volume slider from the menu bar to name a few. I've also noticed when doing something CPU intensive (i.e. compiling a large project) the entire system slows down considerably and any audio (regardless of location - firefox, spotify, etc) begins to stutter as well. This isn't a huge deal, however it is out of the ordinary (and quite annoying) as many of the Ryzentosh builds I've seen here haven't mentioned this issue. Although largely irrelevant, I did not have this issue with Clover and my previous CPU (8600k) on the same version of macOS.
I'm using OpenCore 0.5.3 compiled from source and macOS Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina 10.15.2 Public with the hardware below:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
- Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000 MHz
- GPU: 5700 XT
My kexts (in order of injection) are:
- AGPMInjector (alternative for NullCPUPowerManagement, however I had the same issues using it)
- Lilu
- VirtualSMC
- WhateverGreen
- AppleALCNullEthernet (force en0, tried patching the device through OpenCore with no Success )
- AppleMCEReporterDisabler
- SmallTreeIntel82576
My OpenCore config can be found here:https://privatebin.net/?a29da4f4e443f573#8U68ex48cA1BJrA34wGrocZFPHTet1JP4xiF2RA352XV
Cheers!
