System freezing when encoding mpeg (MKV) to h264 (MP4) with Handbrake or AME -> mouse not moving, have to force reboot

Hey, when I try to encode a MKV to MP4 with Handbrake or Adobe Media Encoder my system freezes completely and I have to force a restart with the power button. Handbrake is CPU only I think and results in almost 100% cpu usage. Adobe Media Encoder (with Metal Acceleration) goes to 80% CPU usage and 80% GPU usage. Both lock up the computer completely.

I have Intel QuickSync enabled:

  • ig-platform-id = 0x19120001
  • VDADecoderChecker returns = Hardware acceleration is fully supported

Setup:

  • iMac 17,1 (SMBios)
  • mac OS 10.14.6 (18G95)
  • Gigabyte H170M-D3H
  • Intel i7 6700
  • RX 580 Pulse

Kexts:

  • AppleALC.kext
  • FakeSMC.kext
  • IntelMausiEthernet.kext
  • Lilu.kext
  • USBInjectAll.kext

Anybody knows how I can fix this?
