My AMD GPU died and I replaced it with a 2080 assuming I could use the Intel HD 530 output for macOS, but my motherboard's HDMI output is faulty. Options?

Hello, I have a 6600k with Z170 motherboard that was paired with an R9 390 and it was working 100% perfectly with power states/iMessage/iCloud/sleep/etc, but unfortunately my 390 gave out this summer. I replaced it with a 2080 because the 5700/XT weren't released yet and I thought I'd be able to use the 6600k's integrated GPU since I don't really need any GPU power for what I do in macOS. Unfortunately, I've found that the motherboard HDMI output constantly disconnects/blanks out every 5 seconds or so. I thought this might've been a Clover misconfiguration issue, so I tried booting into Windows, but the same issue persists there.

I was wondering what my options were to get my Hackintosh setup working again. I would be okay with adding a basic AMD GPU but was wondering what the drawbacks would be, and also the PCI-E slot configuration on my motherboard is a bit restrictive:

From top to bottom there's an x1 PCI-E (Wi-Fi card), x16 PCI-E (2080), x16 PCI-E, PCI (goddamnit why a PCI slot), and x16 PCI-E (M.2 riser card). So I'm not sure if another GPU would fit in that second x16 PCI-E slot because the 2080 is thick as hell.

Any ideas/advice would be appreciated!
