Recommondation what I should do.

Hey everyone,

I build few months ago a new rig for gaming, without the intention to do a Hackintosh, but now I kinda want do some work (mainly Unity, Photoshop and Logic) on my new rig. As I also own a MacBook Pro (which unfortunately don't have enough power for the task I want to do) and an iPad Pro I thought about doing a Hackintosh as especially with Catalina and Sidecar this gets very interesting for me. My PC details are as follow:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

Mainboard: X470-I ROG

RAM: 16 GB Corssair Venegance

Graphic: RTX 2060

PSU: 700W BeQuiet Straight Power

SSD: M.2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus

Case: InWin 901 ITX

I also have another SSD with Windows installed at the moment. As AMD runs kinda fine with macOS the processor should be no problem I guess. Not sure on the mainboard but I want to have Airdrop, iCould and iMessage if possible because of the better workflow. I should mention, this rig is not for work just hobby.

If I have seen correct I have a few options now:

  • Swapping my 2060 for another card like Vega 64 or Radeon VII (which is too expensive for me). The problem on this point is that I would like to have a card which should be better than my actual 2060. The new Radeon 5700 (XT) may be a good choice but I don't know if the support for this card will be added at some time in the future. For the Vega 64 I'm not sure if my PSU can't handle it, as the recommendation is 750W
  • Getting a bigger Mainboard (mATX or ATX) so I can have two cards, my current 2060 for Windows and another AMD card for macOS, with disabling the Nvidia one for macOS. But this means I have to get a new case as my case can only fit a ITX form factor.
  • Getting everything new, like Intel CPU etc. which I kinda want to avoid as this seems as the most expensive option if I have seen correctly.

Did I missed an option? Could someone point me in a direction which might be the best option for me?

Thanks in advance!
