That’s my first post and first I’d want to thank the whole community for helping me to understand hackintosh and succeed to install macOS on two desktop PCs.
I‘m deciding to ditch my MBP 15” 2014 now that I have a stable macOS desktop at home in favour of a more portable laptop.
I’m looking for a used business laptop like Thinkpad or Dell Latitude.
I’d want to know if you have any suggestion for my needs that mainly are:
- 14” or less display
- 1080p resolution with a reasonable brightness (around 300cd/m2)
- 2kg or less weight
- Upgradable WLAN card (for a macOS compatible one, not willing to mod the BIOS for that)
- Backlit keyboard would be nice
- 2nd SSD slot would be nice (not necessary)
- $450 or less (used price)
My current options are the Thinkpads T450s, T460, T460s. I’ve also considered the X250 and X260 but the single channel RAM it’s holding me back.
Let me now if you have one of them or a similar one, and if you also have any other suggestion (about compatibility and problems that I could encounter on) that I’m not considering.
