Surface Pro 3 Mojave 10.14.5 *Mostly Successful*

Hi all, I have managed to get the Surface Pro 3 to run Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave (Dual boot with Windows 10).

I used this EFI that I found: https://github.com/hacker1024/Hackintosh-Clover-SurfacePro3?files=1

There is no guide for this EFI that I have found so here i thought I would make a mini guide.

My Specs: SURFACE PRO 3 i3 4020y Intel HD4200 4gb ram 64gb SSD 64gb Micro SD Surface Pro 4 Type Cover Asus Nano USB N10

What Works: Graphics with full resolution and acceleration, (Detected correctly as HD4200 3072mb (occasional minor glitches but nothing serious) Brightness (For some reason the resolution needs to be changed and changed back again for brightness adjustment to work) Type Cover (however I can only get single touch working, every different one version of voodooi2c results in kp) Touchscreen. Both Cameras (Tested in photobooth) MicroSD Card Reader. Audio (Including headphone jack, did not work until I installed latest version of voodoohda) Battery seems to work properly and reporting low battery and charging events. Power management seems to work properly.

What dosen't work: Multitouch gestures on the mouse (if anybody knows how to get this working i would be so grateful, Ive seen reports of people getting it working) Sleep seems to be blocked. Physical buttons including volume do not work. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

System actually runs very stable though and can be used for x code, etc no problem.

To Install. 1.) Write the Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave installer to a USB. 2.) Install clover. 3.) Drop the files from the github into the clover folder. 4.) Turn off secureboot and TPM in bios. Go to security and disable WiFi, microsd, cameras. 5.) Boot into clover. 6.) Press spacebar and select verbose. Go to block kext and block everything except FakeSMC. 7.) When attempting to install, it may fail to enter the installer. Go into terminal and type(without the quotation marks) "date". If the date is incorrect than type "date 081113202019". Verify that the date has changed and the installer should now run. 8.) After restart change the same settings as step 6 but on your actual hard drive this time. 9.) On the first actual start do not block any kexts. It should boot normally this time.

Post Install. 1.) Install the latest version of clover to your hard drive for UEFI boot. Deselect any drivers or anything like that. 2.) With your EFI still mounted copy the contents of the github download into the EFI on your hard disk. 3.) You should be able to boot OS X without the USB now. 4.) Change the resolution and change it back to fix the brightness slider. 5.) Install the latest VoodooHDA to fix the sound. 6.) Install Wireless USB adaptor clover: https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Adapter-Clover Check the list to see if your USB wifi is compatible.

Good luck guys!

Hope this guide works for you, I only wrote it because I could not find a guide for any OS newer than 10.9. If anybody can figure out how to fix the rest of the issues please keep me posted.

Credit for the EFI to Hacker1024 from github. Thanks to everyone who made hackintoshing possible.
