I'm a new person and making a Hackintosh for the first time. The reason for failure is unknown but I reckon it was the HDD. I had an original
1 TB 5400 rpm SATA SSHD in my laptop and was trying to install the OSX using Clover in a partition of that HDD. Whenever I tried to install the OSX Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave using Clover, it used to start booting up with the Apple logo but then returned back to the UEFI boot options mode. Also, the computer started to overheat and fans kept running at full speed and drained a whole lot of battery. The Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave bootable flash drive was made using a 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro with UniBeast. I also guess the problem occurred due to the old MacBook Pro. UniBeast website suggests using a mid-2012 or newer MacBook Pro. I also have a 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro without touchbar. I plan to use that one for this project from now on.
I read in most of the posts in this sub-reddit that Hackintosh doesn't work on HDDs. So I've bought a new 240GB SSD for my laptop now and have installed it and I plan to dual boot OSX and Windows 10 in this SSD.
I've gone through all the posts which I found related to similar laptops to mine in this sub-reddit which came in the search results. Can I get some guidance regarding dual booting and safely running OSX on my laptop?
