When I login to my main account, from the login screen when the computer boots, everything does not load properly. Often times it shows a black screen and the beachball mouse icon, other times it loads the wallpaper and the dock, but if I try to right-click on the desktop or open an application, I get the beachball and everything freezes. Maybe a process is blocking the system from booting further?
I have created another admin account, and if I login to that one, everything works perfectly. If I login to my main account, after logging out from the other account, some times everything does load as it should.
This initially happened a month ago, and I decided to make a new main account. Everything worked perfectly fine until recently, when this issue started happening again.
Does anyone know how to debug this? Maybe some logfiles could tell something?
I have tried the following:
- Deleted startup applications from within System Preferences
- Uninstalling applications that might be causing the problem.
- Look at the logs in the Console application, but I couldn't find anything.
- Delete launch daemons
