format HD for both PC and Mac use (and share DropBox files)

hello peeps,

so I Success fully made an Hackintosh but the 1 TB drive I was using for DropBox (and used in Windows to sync it) cannot be used by DropBox on Mac anymore, as it's Windows NT File System (NTFS).

I can view the files but that's all, can't delete or organize them.

so I'd like to format that drive to be able to use in both Mac and Windows (and the DropBox sync app in both systems)

which format should I then use for that? APFS or MS-DOS?
