I’ve got a sturdy hack going but for the life of me I can’t get discord to recognize my microphone using AppleALC. It works with VoodooHDA, and to make things worse my microphone is recognized and works fine in the preferences, as well as in Audacity.
I’ve tried uninstalling Discord (deleting the (~)/Library/Application Support/discord folders along with the app) and reinstalling fresh the latest version.
I’ve tried resetting audio settings inside of discord, I’ve tried switching the sources around inside of discord.
I got a crash log once that seemed to point to some ffmpeg problems inside the discord app. Could this be related to the fact that I’m using the vanilla patches from AMD-OSX? Do we actually need opemu to use USB mic input on AMD platform??
I’m really just lost at this point it’s driving me crazy 🤪
