if you want to build a Hackintosh these days, and would like to use a bcm94352z chipset wifi module like the DW1560, you may encounter a certain problem - the cards prices are either skyrocketing or just not available , depending in which country you live ....
this has mainly to do with a recent cutoff supply of chinese refurbishment centers in Asia (china, hongkong, malaysia etc) and with the fact that there are much less laptop sold overall than 10 or 15 years ago - therefore the supply is much smaller ...
my company is trading with wifi modules and almost all of my 10 chinese suppliers told me the same story - the cards are not available from refurbishments centers at this time .
the only sale channel that remains is DELL , but the ordering process of a simple wifi module at DELL is somewhat painful , no matter if private person or company costumer, because the DW1560 is only sold as sparepart and therefore not officially intend to be sold as single item to anyone nor to be sold in high volume .... at least that is the situation here in europe ...
so for the time beeing , grab your DW1560 if you can, within the next weeks the situation wont change ...
the situation is also similar for the Lenovo equivalent module with FRU 04X6020 , but there are still some available, but the supply is also scarce in asia.
why is it like that? i dont know
