I have a vanilla install of Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave on a Gigabyte Z370N-Wifi, i3-8300k and internal graphics, with 8GB Crucial Ballistix memory.
Wake from sleep is causing all sorts of issues on my machine. On the lock screen after wake, any attempt to switch user causes the machine to lock up and freeze. The only solution is to reset it.
Many apps freeze or crash. Google Chrome won't launch (but it will run if already running). Safari crashes on any page with a video or gif. Preview will open some documents, but not others, especially pictures.
For kexts, I have: AppleALC, FakePCIID, FakeSMC_ACPISensors, FakeSMC_CPUSensors, FakeSMC_LPCSensors, FakeSMC, IntelMausiEthernet, Lilu, and Whatever Green in the Clover/kexts/Other folder
Installed to /Library/Extensions are BrcmFirmwareRepo, BrcmPatchRAM2, and USBInjectAll. I would like to try to remove the two Broadcom kexts, but I forget the proper way to remove from the folder.
I swapped out the default motherboard card with a DW1820A to try to get Wifi/Bluetooth working, but I could only get WiFi working with this card. I am wondering if this is the root of the problem?
Everything else is working perfectly on this machine except for all of the problems that are caused after a wake from sleep. If the machine never goes to sleep, it works perfectly.
Any ideas?
