Building a rig for iMovie video editing. Should I install macOS High Sierra on the raw hardware or install Windows and run HS within it?

Parts list

• i5-8400
• 16GB DDR4 RAM
• GTX 1050 Ti
• Gigabyte B360M DS3H Z390 M Gaming mobo

Would it be better to install HS on the raw hardware and try to fix ALL of the issues I'm running into, or would be better to install Windows+VMWare or etc hypervisor and run a High Sierra VM?

List of issues I've run into so far -

• OsxAptioFix - alloc type 2 errors, fixed it by using OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi
• iMovie crashes when I start exporting a video - I was running into this issue mostly when using the B360M mobo. Now I'm able to start the export but now it crashes at anywhere from 30% to 99%.
