Not sure where to ask but I thought of this community as being the right one

So I have a 2011 Mac Book Pro with Komplete 8 installed on it.

I also now have a 2015 Mac Book Pro that I'd like to have Komplete 8 on it but sadly I don't have any of the disks or anything. For what I know, it's a legit copy of the program. A buddy from way back gave it to me and told me he had an available license for it to be put on my computer.

I'm wondering if there is a way to transfer it from my old computer to my new computer. The program itself (plugin?) doesn't need internet connectivity to work, so I'm thinking it should be possible if all files are transferred to the right spot? Not sure if it's that simple though
