Hi everyone, I've been running my current hackintosh build for about a year using it for music production and recording, and it has proven to be very stable. The only problem I've been having is the graphic performance within the programs. The interface will run smoothly until i open a plugin, but as long as the plugin is open the graphics will lag and stutter. It depends on the plugin, but it doesn't have to be particularly graphic intensive for it to occur. Here is a video demonstrating the problem in Pro Tools with only opening the metronome.
The same problem occurs in Pro Tools, Ableton and Cubase, but strangely not in Logic. I've tried switching between the NVIDIA Web drivers and OS X defaults graphics driver, but it does not seem to make a difference at all.
If anyone has any tips for this it would be greatly appreciated!
